week 11 comics as contemporary literature

For this week, I read the "Bad Rat", "Every girl is the end of the world for me" and "The years have pants", for the bad rat, when I read the very first part of it, I really thought the protagonist was a boy with a little longer hair because he doesn't have enough money to cut his hair, but soon I realize he was a she, that was kind of interesting I tin, but back to the story the "bad rat" isn't a really bad rat, its actually the protagonist's pet, and since she was homeless, she just takes it wherever she goes, that's kind of touch for me. But the art style of this book I was not really into it, the line drawing is fine but the color of it just makes me a bit of tired to read this book. the next book I read was the "Every girl is the end of the world for me. What is really caught my eyes was the really simplify art style of it makes it looks like a children's book. but actually, this book detailing the day-by-day events of a three-week run-in with five different girls. Watch and be mesmerized by an ex coming back into the picture, a growing but poorly chosen crush, musings on the way friends come and go in life, and a realization that the end is never really the end. This art style is what I really like about, easy to read and I will not get tired of it, it is pretty relaxed to read this book. Here it comes to the last one I read the years have pants, I choose this one is just because of the wired name of the book and that makes me really curious. This book is just a biography of the author's life. About the literary of it. What is literature? The most classic literary genres are poetry, novels, and drama. In addition, corresponding to the style of verse, the prose is often used as one of the main literary styles. But its characteristics are not as obvious as the first three categories, but more of a way of expression. In brief, what is expressed in various subjects, poetry values rhythm, and beauty, novels value characters and stories, and dramas emphasize plot and performance. So, if a comic has obvious characteristics of a certain literary genre, we can say that it already has the basic characteristics of this genre, that is, it has a certain literary character. The difference between pure literature and popular literature is that the former is a highly abstract writing work that is dedicated to the exploration and discovery of basic issues. The latter is a work based on the principle of satisfying a wide range of spiritual entertainment needs. The characteristics of pure literature are: with a high degree of artistry, emphasizing beauty. Sometimes it is scientific, such as works that have been explored and recognized in psychology and philosophy. The author is usually based on satisfying the individual's spiritual needs and the desire to explore. It is sometimes experimental, with little or no consideration of the general reader's feelings. The work itself is often of low commercial value, but it has stood the test of time.
The characteristics of popular literature are: it is quite entertaining and emphasizes the reading experience. Elements from different fields are often added to improve the quality of the work itself. The author is usually based on meeting the needs of readers. The content and interest of the works are often influenced by the readership. The work itself has good commercial value and a relatively short life cycle. When commenting on the literary nature of a comic, the above theories of different genres and the classification of pure literature and popular literature can basically be directly transplanted and applied
